Location, location, location

Summer's gone, what there was of it, and for many the focus is now on Christmas. Companies and businesses all over Scotland are turning their attention to the end-of-year get-togethers, some of which are regarded as the most important fixture in the working calendar. With all the festive celebrations, theme nights, dances, ceilidhs and corporate events it can be a daunting prospect booking your firm's Christmas do. So, we've teamed up with a new website recently launched by Prestige Scotland to bring you a run-down of the most unique venues in which to celebrate and welcome in 2009. Catering in Scotland visits www.superbchristmasparties.co.uk and discovers a comprehensive guide to some of the most impressive venues in the country…

Prestige Scotland's venues include Murrayfield, Hampden, Pittodrie, the Tall Ship, Hamilton Park, Perth Racecourse, Edinburgh's Botanic Gardens and the city's Corn Exchange.
Event managers at the Murrayfield Experience and Hampden Park are keeping things topical as the latest Bond release hits the big screen, and X-Factor fever mounts. Tickets are now on sale for a night of Bond-themed festivities at Murrayfield, which includes a Vodka Martini on arrival and a three-course menu followed by a Thunderball disco. Those looking for a more conventional festive celebration can opt for a ceilidh and disco in the more traditional setting of Murrayfield's winter wonderland.
Hampden Park, which recently played host to over 10,000 wannabe X-Factor superstars in the regional heats, is continuing the theme with its Rockstar Superstar Christmas Party package.
Pittodrie Stadium, the home of Aberdeen FC, has unveiled a package of Cracker Party Nights, Christmas lunches, and fine dining in the Boardroom.
The Tall Ship at Glasgow Harbour has launched a 'Casino Nights' theme for Christmas, while Hamilton Park is offering more classic celebrations at the racecourse.

Perth Racecourse, meanwhile, is offering fabulous festive feasts at their Rockin' Christmas party nights and lunches, kicking off with champagne and cocktails and ending only when the free buses arrive to take party goers back to town. Expert assistance will be provided by Prestige Scotland's event managers for companies wishing to promote their own themes for exclusive events.

Finally, back in the capital, Executive Chef Stephen Frost will be on hand to host some of Edinburgh's most elegant Christmas events at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Here the Caledonian Hall caters for 30 to 60 people, and is just five minutes from the city centre.

At the opposite end of town the Edinburgh Corn Exchange is promoting the hugely popular BIG BIG Christmas Parties '08, hosted by Real Radio's Big Al.

So, all you have to do now is decide which one to go for – and book it. Visit www.superbchristmasparties.co.uk for more information and the chance to win a free party for up to 10 people.
