In an effort to recognise and reward the high degrees of creativity, excellence and innovation in Scotland's catering, hospitality and tourism industries, entries and nominations are now open for the CIS Excellence Awards 2009.

Open to all types of established and emerging businesses and individuals involved in these sectors, the CIS Excellence Awards are positioned as the industry's ultimate accolade. From chefs and contract caterers to hotels, restaurants, gastro-pubs and tourism businesses, there is a category to suit you or your company.

The awards will recognise an individual or company's business achievements and their contribution to their industry or profession. Winners, in addition to gaining national recognition as a major player, will also be offered valuable publicity through Catering in Scotland magazine, The Federation of Chefs Scotland and our affiliated websites.

In addition to the prestige and publicity that comes with collecting a national award, winners will receive a coveted CIS Excellence trophy and be guaranteed recognition throughout the industry and Catering in Scotland as a leader in their field.

The closing date for entries is Monday 16th March 2009.

Nominations/Entries

An individual, organisation or company of any size who is involved in the catering, hospitality and tourism industries in Scotland may enter themselves or nominate another party.

Then complete and return the Entry/Nomination form and email it back to us or post it to the address on the CIS Awards website. Please note: You can enter as many categories as you wish. However, please use a separate entry/nomination form per category. Each and every entry/nomination MUST be supported by the appropriate substantiating evidence and you are advised to mark the check boxes to ensure you have included all necessary information before submitting your entry.

The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday 28th May 2009 at the Hilton Glasgow. The black-tie dinner presents an ideal opportunity to network with fellow industry leaders and to entertain your colleagues, friends and associates in style. Ticket prices include champagne drinks reception and a sumptuous four-course meal with wine, liqueurs, coffee and chocolates, prepared by the Glasgow Hilton's very own James Murphy.
