KNORR Scottish Chef of the Year Finalists Announced

The finalists of the KNORR Scottish Chef of the Year 2009 culinary competition have been announced.

The competition provides recognition to emerging catering talent in Scotland. Members of the Scottish Culinary Championships' panel will judge each competitor's submission of a balanced, four-course menu using seasonal Scottish produce for a party of four covers.

The 10 successful candidates competing in the final at ScotHot 2009 (2-4 March, SECC, Glasgow) are:

Enter or Nominate Now for the CIS Excellence Awards 2009

Entries and nominations are now open for the CIS Excellence Awards 2009, in association with Caterer.com.

Open to all types of established and emerging businesses and individuals involved in these sectors, the CIS Excellence Awards are positioned as the industry's ultimate accolade. From chefs and contract caterers to hotels, restaurants, gastro-pubs and tourism businesses, there is a category to suit you or your company.

The awards will recognise an individual or company's business achievements and their contribution to their industry or profession. Winners, in addition to gaining national recognition as a major player, will also be offered valuable publicity through Catering in Scotland magazine, The Federation of Chefs Scotland and our affiliated websites.

The closing date for entries is Monday 16th March 2009.
