Golf Tourism Scotland Announces 2010 Gold Standard Award-Winners
Golf Tourism Scotland has announced the winners of this year's Gold Standard Awards at a recent ceremony at Turnberry. Recipients included Sam Adam from Rufflets Country House Hotel; Laura McGilvray from the Crail Golfing Society; and Leanne Lawrie from Links Golf St Andrews. In addition to picking up a Gold Standard plaque, Ms Adam also received an international scholarship at an undisclosed resort.The full list of winners of the 2010 GTS Gold Standard Awards included:
Hotel of the Year, Resort Hotel: Cameron House on Loch Lomond
Hotel of the Year, Large Hotel: Macdonald Marine Hotel, North Berwick
Hotel of the Year, Country House: Rufflets Country House Hotel, St Andrews
Hotel of the Year, Small Hotel/Guest House: North Berwick Golf Lodge
Golf Course of the Year: Ailsa Course, Turnberry
Secretariat of the Year: The North Berwick Golf Club
Caddie Master of the Year: Davy Gilchrist from Kingsbarns Golf Links
Transport Operator of the Year: St Andrews Executive Travel
Golf Tour Operator of the Year: Spela-Golf.com
Young Industry Person Award: Sam Adam, assistant front office manager, Rufflets Country House Hotel, St Andrews
Special Achievement Award: Colin Dalgleish, co-founder of PerryGolf
