Finalists announced for Knorr Scottish Chef of the Year

The final contenders for the KNORR Scottish Chef of the Year title have been short-listed and 10 highly skilled chefs will now go forward and compete in the live Grand Final on Tuesday 26th April, which takes place at ScotHot 2005 at the SECC, Glasgow.

'At Unilever Foodsolutions, we recognise the important role that culinary competitions play in raising standards and we are very proud to be involved in events that encourage the growth of great talent and the promotion of excellence within the industry,' said Calum Ross, Managing Director, Unilever Foodsolutions, who are sponsoring the competition for the first time.
'We wish all ten KNORR Scottish Chef of The Year finalists the very best of luck in the Grand Final and we look forward to an exciting finale to the competition at ScotHot'.

The ten earned their places in the Grand Final after battling it out during the semi-final heats at Glenrothes College in Glasgow in February this year. They now have to face the challenge of the live Grand Final, during which they will each have to create a four-course meal for four covers in just three and a half hours, under the watchful eyes of the judging panel and ScotHot live audience. The winner of the coveted Scottish Chef of The Year title will be announced at ScotHot on the afternoon of April 26th.

The ten KNORR Scottish Chef of the Year finalists are now confirmed as:-

Trevor McGuinness, LA Bonne Auberge, Glasgow
David Edward, Glenrothes College, Glenrothes
Daren Harrison, Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire
Andrew May, Belmont Arms Hotel, Perthshire
